Week’s events: Peggy Carlson, personal training, imagining �黨��Ƶ, eclectic tunes

University of �黨��Ƶ Fairbanks Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is hosting more than 40 free lectures, concerts and events this summer. Here’s what’s happening during the week of June 22-28:

• On Monday, June 22, the Fairbanks Tall Timbers interview series will honor Peggy Carlson, literacy advocate. The interview is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
• On Tuesday, June 23, the Healthy Living lecture series will host Michael Flanagan, personal trainer, discussing “Personal Health Training: How to Get Started and Advance.” The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
• On Wednesday, June 24, the Discover �黨��Ƶ lecture series will feature Rachel Cohen, assistant professor of library science, presenting “From Myths to Maps: Imagining �黨��Ƶ Through Rare Works at the Elmer E. Rasmuson Library.” The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
• On Thursday, June 25, the Music in the Garden concert series will present South Cushman Social Club at 6 p.m. and The Glam Faction at 7:30 p.m. at UAF’s Georgeson Botanical Garden.

All events are free and open to the public. Parking on the UAF Troth Yeddha’ Campus is free after 5 p.m.
