Landscape Plants for Â黨ÊÓƵ
The goal of the Â黨ÊÓƵ Plants database is to provide information about trees, shrubs and vines known to be growing successfully in Â黨ÊÓƵ landscapes. It is intended to help people choose the right plant for the right place and develop landscapes that fit into our native environs.
Â黨ÊÓƵ is experiencing serious negative effects from non-native species introduced by accident or purposely planted that spread into surrounding environments. These invasive plants pose serious threats to Â黨ÊÓƵ’s native plants and wildlife changing habitats as they spread. This database is an extensive revision of the 1996 UAF Cooperative Extension publication Landscape Plants for Â黨ÊÓƵ: A List of Trees, shrubs, vines and ground covers for Â黨ÊÓƵn Landscapes and is a cooperative effort with the Community Forestry Program, Â黨ÊÓƵ Division of Forestry and the Â黨ÊÓƵ Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
